You can always grab a good bargain on discount sex toys. It is just a matter of looking in the right place at the right time. However, you should always keep your eyes open because sometimes the toys are discounted for a reason.
Take the pack of condoms a friend of mine bought on sale at a store. One hundred condoms for only five dollars, sounds like a good deal to most of us. But what he failed to check was how old they were. Yes it is true, condoms do have a used by date. Once you are past it, you might get lucky, but chances are they will break.
Well my friend, being something of an idiot did not check when they were supposed to be used by. Instead he set to work trying to use them all as quickly as possible. Six one night stands in row later, he was a happy guy. That was until a couple of weeks later when he started to get phone calls from the girls he had slept with.
A common theme began to emerge, they were all pregnant. You see my friend had been blitzed on alcohol each night, he says it is when he is at his most charming. I beg to differ, but that is neither here nor there. Unnoticed to him and each respective girl who had had sex with him, the condoms had broken halfway through the sex.
So, six pregnant girls, what is a man to do. He did what most men would do, he blamed someone else. In this case it was the condom company. The condom company did what most corporations do and blamed the store that had sold him the condoms. Curious about how it finished?
Well the court ordered the condom company to provide child support for each of the women. So the man was happy. The court also ordered the store to provide the condom company with compensation for the money it was spending. So in the end, the only person who came off badly was the 40 year old owner of the sex store that was going out of business anyway, thus the discount sex toys.
The moral of the story? If you decide to sell discount sex toys, make sure you inform all your customers about any used by dates, which makes it not unlike running a supermarket in that regard. Of course you would hope that certain sex toys never go off. I mean who wants to see a life sized latex woman going off. I have no idea what would happen, but you could probably safely assume some form of melting and a truly obnoxious smell.
If you can avoid these pitfalls however, I can’t recommend bargain hunting enough. You will feel a lot better if you can find some discount sex toys rather than dropping a couple of hundred dollars on that highly priced flesh light or blow up doll, trust me.
